Brief:
The Bondi Pavilion is a massive building filled with halls, theatres and other facilities. Its purpose is to serve the local community. However public interest in the once popular venue has declined.
Propose a rebrand to generate engagement and the necessary revenues needed for the upkeep of The Bondi Pavilion.
Rationale
A solution is to invest in contemporary branding and develop an online presence. Compared to renovations, these are inexpensive investments and should generate a wave of public interest, with increased bookings and revenue.
The new logo is a collage of a deconstructed Bondi Beach. Both the custom typeface and its surrounding organic shapes have been included to add a sense of fluidity and expressiveness - a combination of the creative arts on the beach. All elements are versatile and can be used to visually link community projects back to the Bondi Pavilion. It’s a shift from the rigid old Times New Roman logo as to reignite the community’s relationship with their pavilion.
The user experience on the new website and app is a stimulating and streamlined process. It has been designed to be simple and direct, with easy-to-use drop down tabs and features.
The site orientates the visitors towards the wide range of revenue generating events and activities that the reinvigorated Bondi Pavilion now offers.
